Fishing is good on the troll and on bottom.

These are a few pictures of catches from the week. Ethan caught his first wahoo during a weekly Mission Fishin trip with Capt. Mark Danley and Will Fasullo as mate aboard the "Lisa B". The seaweed has definitely subsided a bit, giving us the ability to actually troll. This fish was caught doing about 9 knots using a planer and bonito strip. Most of the heavy seaweed seemed to be farther offshore, but nobody really knows what the next day holds. We are hoping it goes well together! That being said the bottom fishing was fantastic this week both locally and in the Bahamas. The moon is getting bigger, which means the mutton snapper bite will start to really fire up around the full moon. The full moon in June and July are really the best time to catch big mutton snapper. With the hot sea conditions, try to get your baits down a little deeper if you're trolling for pelagics like tuna and wahoo. We have been using the number eight planner which gets the bait down probably about 50 feet under the surface. The surface temperatures are really hot right now and fish have a tendency to be down just a bit. The Swordfish bite was consistent again this week with Fish being caught up to 300 pounds. The best of the bite seemed to be in around 1,700 feet of water.
