Pictured here is our charter, Alfredo, with a beautiful pair of mahi-mahi that we caught a few days before the blow. Currently, we are dealing with 15 to 25 knot winds which is keeping us at the dock. This is really the time when the fishing gets fantastic locally but we have to pick our days. Wahoo, mahi-mahi, bottom fish, and swordfish are all biting, but we need to get good weather to make a trip. One thing that we have noticed is the fluctuation of seaweed locally. The last few years we almost could not fish due to the amount of seaweed floating from the beach out 30 miles. We are so happy that we are not dealing with that , but can't promise that that will last. Hopefully, we get a break in the weather and get a chance to get out and go fishing.
Lots of tournaments are happening over the next two months because this is the best time for meat fishing. If you need a charter, please reach out to us and we can get you lined up. Lastly, for those of you interested in catching sailfish, the bite has been pretty consistent and if you spend time with live bait, you should get 1 to 2 chances at catching a sailfish per day.
