Pictured here is the Danny Weslar charter aboard the "Datsnasty" with a beautiful swordfish. This fish is over 100 pounds and makes for great table fare. People constantly ask me if the smaller swordfish taste any better than the larger ones. It is a legitimate question asked by many and the answer is no. The only time we notice a difference in the taste of swordfish is when the color of the meat changes from white to orange meat. This is because of the fish-eating crustaceans such as red shrimp much like a flamingo changing color from white to pink because of the diet. There were several fish caught this week up to 300 pounds with angler's experienced multiple fish trips. Farther near shore, the wahoo bite was relatively slow, but the sailfish bite picked up drastically with the change in weather. The cold front definitely has fish on the move, and we anticipate having great fishing throughout the weekend. The snapper bite is still on as well so get out there and get tight!
