Weekend weather looks amazing to catch some fish!

Weekend weather looks amazing to catch some fish!

Author RJ Boyle
As we get closer to the winter months we have less and less fishable days due to high winds and rough seas. This weekend take advantage of the good weather and take a trip out front or across to the Bahamas. The wahoo fishing has been dynamite both here and there. The fish locally have averaged between 20 and 30 pounds while the Bahama fish have weighed around 30-50 pounds. High speed trolling and planer fishing are your best techniques. The cold snap did not produce the sailfish bite some were hoping for. Lots of anglers targeted sail on Tuesday with only a few being caught. We should see an increase in the sail bite in December and January with the arrival of some stronger fronts.

Swordfishing was excellent farther north around Palm Beach with catches up to 300 pounds. Fishing locally for swords slowed down a bit but will pick up as we move away from the full moon. The full moon usually produces less bites, but bigger fish.
Fishing near the beach and around the inlets slowed this week as the colt nap definitely had an effect on snook and tarpon fishing

The picture here is of the Dubois family and their catch aboard the "Lisa B" with Captain Mark Danley. Lisa B is docked at Port 32 the Lighthouse Point Marina on the far north end dock. If you are interested in a charter, please reach out to us at the store RJ Boyle Studio 954-420-5001.
