The RJ Boyle Mirrored Micro Jackson Bullet Chain is an all-around offshore trolling rig for pelagic species. It combines three lures: two small bullet-shaped lures up front and a Long Cup lure with wings at the back.
The bullets create a relatively smooth entry into the water, while the rear Long Cup creates more commotion, giving the appearance of one lure chasing the other two. Troll the rig at speeds up to 10 knots. The non-plastic lures have weight to help keep them in the water at higher trolling speeds.
The daisy chain is rigged on approximately 5 feet of 130 lb monofilament and comes with a loop and swivel for attachment. Rigging uses Mustad 7691S Stainless Steel Southern & Tuna Big Game Hooks in 6/0, with a single hook on the rear Long Cup lure.
RJ Boyle has been a staple in the world of big game tackle for decades, supplying tournament-ready lures, baits, and rigs to some of the best captains and anglers in the sport. From swordfish and wahoo to billfish, tuna, and other pelagics, RJ Boyle tackle is built from real experience on the water.
Mustad × RJ Boyle brings together proven big game tackle, trusted hooks, and decades of offshore experience in every rig.
“Rigging has always been at the heart of what we do at RJ Boyle. We know that every component is critical in big game fishing, especially the hook. You have to be able to trust your tackle. Mustad hooks have been a core part of the RJ Boyle arsenal for decades, so teaming up with them to produce professionally rigged, ready-to-fish lures was a no-brainer. We’re proud to be partnered with them.” — RJ Boyle
